These terms apply to the website pch-usa.org and to any donation, account or purchase made through it. The site is operated by Productive Cooperatives for Haiti Inc., a Florida nonprofit corporation recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 41-2919506, located at 601 21st Street, Suite 300, Vero Beach, FL 32960. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What the site is for
The site exists to share information about the work of productive cooperatives Haiti and to accept charitable donations that support it. It may also host charity auctions of donated items. It is not a store and does not sell goods or services in the ordinary sense.
2. Donations
Donations are voluntary contributions to Productive Cooperatives for Haiti Inc. Once made, they are not refundable except as described in our refund policy. Donations fund the organization’s programs as a whole; where you choose a named campaign, we honor that preference to the extent the program continues, and otherwise apply the gift where it is needed most. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law; the written acknowledgment we send is your receipt. We do not provide tax advice.
3. Recurring gifts
When you set up a monthly gift, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis at the amount you selected until you change or cancel it. You can change, pause or cancel at any time from your donor portal or by contacting us. A cancellation takes effect before the next scheduled charge; charges already processed are not refunded.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your full card number. By paying you also agree to Stripe’s terms. Amounts are shown in US dollars. If you choose to cover processing fees, that portion is a service charge and is not tax deductible.
5. Your account
Some features require an account, such as the donor portal or auction bidding. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and login secure and for activity under your account. We may close accounts that misuse the site.
6. Auctions
Charity auctions, when offered, are governed by our auction terms, which form part of these terms. Placing a bid is a binding commitment to pay if you win.
7. Your information
How we collect and use personal information is described in our privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.
8. Content and intellectual property
Text, photographs, logos and other content on the site belong to Productive Cooperatives for Haiti Inc. or its partners and are used with permission. You may share links to the site freely. Please do not reproduce photographs of people from the site without written permission; the people in them have consented to appear here, not everywhere.
9. Accuracy and availability
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will be error free or uninterrupted. Figures about programs are drawn from the organization’s own records and from independent evaluations, and are updated as new information becomes available.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Productive Cooperatives for Haiti Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law rules.
